mini stromboli

 Mini STROMBOLI




NEED:

  • Rhodes Brand Frozen Roll Dough Thawed (Thaw only the number of stromboli you want to make)- typically each person will eat 2-3
  • Olive oil
  • Seasonings (pizza seasoning, or oregano, thyme, etc.) 
  • Mozzarella
  • 1 Egg white
  • grated parmesan (optional)
  • Garlic Salt (optional)
  • pizza Toppings you enjoy (best part about mini stromboli is that everyone can get their own favorite toppings in their stromboli) some of our favorite combos: ham/pineapple, pepperoni, black olive/ham
  • shredded mozzarella
  • pizza sauce (for the side)
  • cooking spray

DO: 

  • Preheat oven to: 400 (do not preheat the cookie sheet)
  • Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray
  • Roll out each dough into a rectangle/oval
  • Poke the dough all over with a fork
  • Brush dough with olive oil, sprinkle with seasonings
  • Layer toppings on one side of each dough, leaving room on the ends and sides
  • Sprinkle with Mozzarella
  • Fold each dough over and pinch seams together *you can also put two dough rolls together- one on top, one on the bottom like an uncrustable sandwich
  • Wisk your egg white until it is frothy and easy to brush.
  • Brush the top of each stromboli with the egg white
  • Poke holes all over the dough with your fork
  • Sprinkle with garlic salt and parmesan cheese
  • to "label" the stromboli, you can put a small piece of ingredient on top (ex: 1/4 pepperoni slice on top of the pepperoni ones)
  • Bake for 20-30  minutes until beautiful golden brown :)
  • Serve with pizza sauce on the side
